At Arup, we also use BIM to enable automated geometry and design, layout and documentation of repeat elements and provide coordination across disciplines. It accelerates the design process and provides a single source of truth for the whole project team.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to be responsible for managing and coordinating infrastructure projects within the BIM methodology, ensuring consistency and integration of models throughout all project phases.

As a Civil BIM Manager at Arup, you will:

·       Manage, design, and deliver BIM projects for all project stages.

·       Collaborate on process optimization and early detection of conflicts.

·       Coordinating content creation and management of Civil Engineering BIM models throughout the duration of the project.

·       Verifying consistency and compliance with the BIM standards defined for the project.

·       Developing strategies and maintaining a common data environment (CDE) for information exchange.

·       Identifying automation processes within the Civil Engineering team.

·       Organizing and leading coordination meetings to resolve conflicts between different teams. disciplines.

·       Train and provide technical support to project teams in the use of BIM tools and methodologies.

·       Promote open communication and collaboration among all teams involved.

·       Be responsible for supervising and supporting several team members, ensuring their growth and development as they contribute to project success.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone with good leadership skills. Ideally, you’ll bring:

·       BIM-related qualifications or studies as a technician or draughtsman (FP, FP superior or delineante).

·       A robust technical background with up to five years of experience in civil engineering.

·       Experience in 2D CAD work.

·       Experience using the following software:

o   Applied skills in 3D design software such as OpenRoads and Civil 3D.

o   CAD packages – AutoCAD and MicroStation. Knowledge of ArcGIS will be an asset.

o   Package office.

o   Use of information management software in ACC/Project Wise.

·       High level of English and Spanish skills (B2-C1).

Bonus points if you have:

·       Good communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

·       A good understanding of civil and infrastructure works.

·       An extensive experience in 2D CAD work for civil projects.

·       Experience in planning and permitting.

·       Experience with 3D civil earthworks and distribution network modelling.

·       Motivation and eagerness to tackle interesting problems with the opportunity to find innovative solutions.
