The Senior Business Development & Bid Consultant will be responsible for coordinating and supporting pursuits and bids as part of proposal teams, contributing to Arup's regional work winning activities. Based in Melbourne, this role involves collaboration with various departments across Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Singapore. The consultant will gain an understanding of the firm's industry, markets, services, and people to support client-specific BD activities. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.
The Opportunity
- Coordinate and support multiple tender processes, including bid scheduling, compliance, and document production.
- Develop bespoke client offerings, such as pitch presentations and unsolicited material.
- Liaise with key personnel to ensure timely delivery of information for internal and external deadlines.
- Gain an understanding of local industry, markets, clients, and competitors.
- Participate in an environment of learning and improvement among the bidding and BD cohort.
Is this role right for you?
- Proven track record in bidding, including scheduling and production.
- Strong proofing and content development skills.
- Excellent internal influencing and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Dynamics CRM (desirable).
- Ability to remain positively motivated under significant pressure.
