Join our vibrant Bridge and Civil Structures (BCS) team and lead the delivery of iconic and award-winning bridges both in Ireland and across the world

Our 20 strong BCS team in Ireland sits at the heart of Arup’s commitment to design excellence and innovation. Having delivered the award winning Rose Kennedy Fitzgerald Bridge (New Ross Bypass), Mary Elmes (Cork) and Droichead An Dochas (Galway) Pedestrian/Cycle Bridges you will join a team delivering iconic bridges and infrastructure, shaping a better world, one project at a time. 

 

The Opportunity

Lead a team of passionate engineers delivering innovative and sustainable bridge and infrastructure projects in Ireland and around the world.

 

As a Senior Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex bridge and infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge analysis and design workflows.

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  •  

    Contribute to the delivery of our world class bridge projects from Ireland such as the Baltimore Bridge Replacement (Francis Key Scott) and New Harbour Bridge (Texas).

 

Does this role inspire you?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about bridge and civil structures design. You'll also need:

  • A minimum of six years experience in the design of bridge and civils structures.

  • Chartered Engineer status with a proven track record in delivering innovative structural solutions.

  • Expertise in bridge and structures analysis and design  and a deep understanding of eurocodes

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
