Istanbul, Türkiye
Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Istanbul & Ankara.
Arup's purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world. We guide, plan and design the future of the built environment.
We are a global consultancy with extensive technical and advisory expertise. Our structural engineering team in Türkiye works at the intersection of engineering rigour and digital innovation, delivering complex, high-quality structures through integrated, multidisciplinary design.
The Opportunity
As our project portfolio grows and the demands of integrated 3D delivery increase, we are expanding our structural team with a dedicated BIM professional who can develop high-quality structural models and production drawings efficiently and accurately.
The position is intended for a strong practitioner who can deliver high-quality work while actively shaping the use of digital design, analytical, and visualisation approaches to strengthen project outcomes and team capability within multidisciplinary environments.
As a Senior BIM Modeller at Arup, you will:
Develop and maintain structural BIM models for reinforced concrete and steel building and infrastructure projects using Revit and/or Tekla Structures, ensuring models meet project requirements, quality standards, and Arup's BIM protocols at every stage.
Produce coordinated construction documentation directly from BIM models including formwork plans, sections, reinforcement details, steel connection details, schedules, and other structural deliverables with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate across disciplines working closely with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to identify and resolve model clashes and coordination issues, minimising rework and supporting seamless multidisciplinary delivery.
Support project delivery collaborating with structural engineers and project managers to ensure drawing production and model development remain on programme and flagging risks to delivery early and clearly.
Contribute to digital excellence applying and promoting best practice in BIM workflows, modelling standards, and documentation processes, and supporting the development of the team's digital capabilities.
Does this role inspire you?
We are looking for someone who brings a combination of the following. If you don't meet every single point but believe you'd thrive in this role, we'd still love to hear from you.

Software proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Revit and/or Tekla Structures for structural BIM modelling, detailing, and drawing production; familiarity with clash detection tools such as Navisworks or similar is an advantage.
Documentation expertise: Demonstrated experience producing construction documentation directly from BIM models, including formwork plans, sections, reinforcement and steel details, schedules, and related deliverables.
Multidisciplinary coordination: Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary BIM environments, coordinating structural models with architectural, MEP, and other project disciplines; familiarity with BIM standards, LOD requirements, and model management workflows.
Academic background and delivery mindset: Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification and experience; organised and delivery-focused, with the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and competing priorities simultaneously.
Communication: Strong professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); exposure to international structural engineering projects is an advantage.
