About this role
We are looking for a Senior Business Development and Bid Specialist to join our Brisbane team. You will provide professional support for Arup’s work winning activities, developing and managing pursuits and bids as part of a BD, Pursuits and Bids team spanning Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.


What will I do?

  • Proactively manage multiple specific tender processes of varying scale and complexity, including bid scheduling, compliance, and document production, having full accountability for bid management to achieve sophisticated, consistent and highly focused bids and offers;
  • Consult on and facilitate development of client-specific opportunity pursuit strategies to develop our bid strategy including win themes, effective messaging and a commercially robust offer;
  • Author and review content to execute the strategy and liaise with other writers and reviewers to embed winning strategy in our offer; 
  • Develop bespoke client offerings, including pitches and other unsolicited material; and
  • Support client-facing activities including coordinating and providing input to presentations and interview preparation.

 

What will I bring?

  • Strong bidding track record, particularly in major infrastructure planning and delivery, with extensive experience in guiding pursuit planning and management activities using a strategic mindset;
  • Experience in one or more areas including pursuit strategy, business development, sales strategies, client engagement planning;
  • An understanding of the local industry, markets, clients and competitors to provide informed bid support; 
  • Professional writing, editing and proofing skills, including persuasive writing techniques; and
  • Demonstrable track record in relationship-building and influencing techniques and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
