The role is based in Manila office.

Your role in our team 

·         In conjunction with the team leadership in the Group, the job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·         Management reporting of projects, centres, and operations in the Philippines.

·         Transfers pricing documentation, audit, and inter-company’s sub –contracting arrangement.

·         Protects the company’s assets and cash at bank, proper recording of contracts and liabilities.

·         Coordinates with professional bodies and make recommendations to the Company Directors regarding corporate governance, compliance with company secretarial matters and financial control of Philippine operations.

·         Supports corporate enterprise systems for Philippine operations, business activities, projects, and members, in alignment with management directives and Arup Group’s approved protocols.

·         Banking and treasury management and review of working capital in the Philippines.

·         Engages with tax representative/agents to manage payments and ensure timely filing of required tax returns for Philippine operations and makes appropriate accounting entries to company books and records.

·         Liaises with company external auditors and bankers on latest Philippine rules and regulations on accounting and treasury practices.

·         Reviews capital, overhead cost, operating and internal control procedure of payment and banking processes in Philippine operations.

·         Foster partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior colleagues and their teams, working collaboratively across functions to achieve business objectives, drive projects, and support key priorities.

·         Collaborates with stakeholders to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through strategic financial analysis and insight.

·         Lead the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and forecasting process within the group such that the submissions reflect challenging but realistic forecasts with key assumptions and supplemented with potential risks, opportunities, and trade-offs.

·         Works closely with Project Directors to review and track project status, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, fee claims, variation orders, and forecast updates.

·         Administration of staff timesheet records, fee and sub-consultant’s correspondence and agreements.

·         Implement forward-looking executive reports, insightful analyses, and performance metrics to help the business groups understand profitability, identify improvement areas, and support informed decision-making.

·         Coach and develop the local Finance team whilst promoting financial awareness across the Philippine organization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, standardization, and simplification.

·         Work in partnership with Finance Business Partners, Finance Operations, Finance Planning & Analytics, Shared Services Centre (SSC), Regional Finance and Global Finance.

Is this role right for you?

·         Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

·         10+ years of experience in financial roles such as Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar positions

·         Proven record in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting

·         Certified Public Accountant

·         Knowledge in Philipppine Tax Requirements

·         Know Knowledge of JDE and other SAAS applications would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
