As the Business & Markets Leader for South Australia, you will shape and deliver Arup's market strategy by driving client engagement, strategic growth and business development across key sectors including transport, defence, resources and planning. Working closely with the South Australia State Leader and Local Business Leaders, you will strengthen Arup's market position, build trusted client relationships and lead winning strategies that secure high-value opportunities. Through strategic leadership and collaboration across local, regional and global teams, you will help deliver sustainable growth while advancing Arup's purpose of shaping a better world.
The Opportunity
- Lead the development and execution of South Australia's Business & Markets strategy, ensuring alignment with regional and global business priorities.
- Build and strengthen senior relationships with government, agency and private sector clients to identify opportunities and expand Arup's market presence.
- Drive work-winning activities by leading pursuit strategies, prioritising bids, managing the opportunity pipeline and supporting successful project acquisition.
- Champion a client-focused culture by coaching teams to develop compelling value propositions and improve bid quality and win rates.
- Collaborate across local, regional and global teams to share market intelligence, strengthen strategic partnerships and deliver integrated "One Arup" solutions.

Is this role right for you?
- More than 15 years of experience in transport planning and delivery, infrastructure advisory, integrated planning or a related infrastructure leadership role.
- A strong professional network within the Adelaide market, with a demonstrated ability to generate opportunities, influence key stakeholders and build long-term client relationships.
- A proven track record of winning, leading and delivering major infrastructure projects or programs through strategic business development and client engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and leadership capability, with experience developing and executing successful market growth strategies.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a passion for mentoring high-performing teams and fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary environments.
