The Arup people function is undergoing an exciting period of transformation. As we move towards a new operating model, we are streamlining our processes and aligning our delivery on a global scale, to ensure that we provide an excellent member experience aligned to our values.

As a Reward Specialist within the Reward Community of Expertise (CoE) you can expect to be involved in a broad range of reward activities as you support the delivery of our cyclical processes and help to transform reward; ensuring we position ourselves well in the marketplaces in which we operate, whilst achieving greater efficiency and alignment in our delivery.

The Reward CoE team works across our organization matrix spanning four regions, our corporate/global functions, and over 30 countries to deliver our ambitious Global Reward Strategy, within the context of the overall Arup Strategy.

You will work as part of a team of Reward Specialists, you will report directly to the Reward Manager Americas & Corporate Services and work closely with reward, people-team and other colleagues across our global functions.

  Key responsibilities:

·       Support the development and delivery of all reward cyclical activity and programs, including pay benchmarking/ranges, pay budget planning, pay review, payment of Profit Share, job grading and recognition initiatives.

·       Participate in projects to operationalize our reward strategy or develop solutions in support of global and regional business needs.

·       Design and complete in-depth analysis of reward data to provide insights on for example pay equity, pay review budget spend, market competitiveness and other regular or ad hoc requirements.

·       Identify the key metrics that will provide insight into developing solutions and measuring the effectiveness of reward practices and processes, making recommendations with a focus on continuous improvement and consistency.

·       Support the implementation of the new global people system.

·       Provide expert advice and guidance on reward-related matters.

·       Carry out in-depth market research to inform projects.

·       Maintain a current understanding of reward legislation, market developments and best practice in reward, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance our reward offering.

 Key skills, experience and attributes:

·       Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

·       3 plus years validated experience in compensation.

·       Operational reward experience within a matrixed organization environment, ideally international.

·       Outcome-oriented and adaptable with the ability to manage complexity across multiple projects and stakeholders.

·       Excellent analytical skills and systems proficiency with demonstrable advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI skills.

·       Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex issues and analysis.

·       Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable collaboration and managing the expectations of a range of internal stakeholders and vendors.

·       Able to maintain strong attention to detail, accuracy and high-quality delivery in a busy environment.

·       An ability to review current processes and data, detect errors and take responsibility for improving data quality.

·       Curious, willing to learn and focused on problem solving and helping to deliver effective reward solutions.

·       Personal integrity with commitment and alignment to Arup values and aims.

·       Self-motivated with positive energy, a growth mindset and passion for continuous improvement.

New Jersey/New York City hiring range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New Jersey/New York City is $95,000 - $110,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of NJ/NYC will differ.
