The Opportunity
We now invite applications for the following resident site staff position for Contract No. 3/WSD/24 Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works Extension – Extension of Ngau Tam Mei Fresh Water Primary Service Reservoir, Modification of Raw Water Tunnel Junction (Chamber G) and Associated Mainlaying and Contract No.18/WSD/24 Extension of Ngau Tam Mei Water Treatment Works and Associated Improvement Works of Existing Treatment Stream.
Is this role right for you?
Qualifications & Experience required:
• Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in the Civil or Geotechnical discipline or equivalent and with at least 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering; OR recognised professional qualification in engineering geology or geology or equivalent, such as Chartered Geologist status of the Geological Society of London, UK and with at least 2 years of experience in engineering geology or geology
• With (i) Academic qualification of Degree, Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, or construction Safety; (ii) Knowledge and working experience in geotechnical engineering design and/or practice on foundation, tunnelling works, deep excavation and slope works; AND (iii) Blasting Competent Supervisor (BCS) registered under Mines Division of GEO, CEDD and/or with relevant experience in blasting design and supervision of blasting works are preferable
What we offer you
Appointment will be made on contract term in accordance with the prevailing government’s terms and conditions. For the usual duties of the position, please refer to RSS Management Handbook Appendix 7.4.
