The incumbent will carry out duties under the direction of the Employer's Representative or his delegates (ERD) at the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) and be responsible for assistant AAHK's project management team in the administration of the Smart Passenger Security Screening System (PSSS) project's works contracts and site supervision of the work contractor's works at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).

Responsibilities:

• Review submissions by Works Contractor, such as design documents, shop drawings and material submissions
• Assist AAHK in resolving site problems and conflicts among various trade in relation to the Smart PSSS installation, testing and commissioning
• Attend site and co-ordination meetings, and provide on-site prompt responses to Works Contractor's technical queries to ensure smooth construction progress
• Liaise and co-ordinate with the Project Manager, Design Consultant, the Works Contractor, and other work contractors on matters and issues related to site progress
• Assist in vetting and co-ordination of variation works arise by the Works Contractor
• Assist AAHK to inspect and supervise on-site installation progress, quality and performance of Works Contractors
• Provide site records and evidence to support AAHK on assessment of Works Contractor's claim for extension of time or works disruption
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Degree holder in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent disciplines
• Corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in relevant discplines
• Minimum 6 years' relevant working experience in the construction and installation of multi-discplinary projects, including 3 years on-site experience
• Competent and technically qualified to perform the duties with authority to receive instructions from the AAHK
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytics skills
• Independent, open-minded, good interpersonal and organization skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

This position will be on a contract basis to work on site entirely under the management and supervision of AAHK for a period to be agreed with AAHK which may be lengthened or shortened subject to project development.
