The Opportunity

We now invite applications for the following resident site staff position for North Lantau Transfer Station and Outlying Islands Transfer Facilities Second Follow-on Contract under Contract No. EP/SP/221/22.

This project comprises refurbishment and upgrading of Outlying Islands transfer facilities and refurbishment and modification of North Lantau Transfer Station. The proposed works will be carried out in North Lantau Transfer Station, transfer facilities in Outlying Islands (including Mui Wo, Cheung Chau, Peng Chau, Hei Ling Chau, Yung Shue Wan, Sok Kwu Wan and Ma Wan) and West New Territories (WENT) Landfill.

Is this role right for you?

Qualifications & Experience required:
• Diploma or Higher Certificate from Construction Industry Council in Hong Kong/Hong Kong Institute of Construction/Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education/Technical Institute/Technical College/Polytechnic University/Polytechnic in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; AND
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience, OR
• At least 5 years of relevant experience inclusive of 1 year of relevant experience as Resident Works Supervisor or equivalent in an appropriate discipline in public works projects or those projects listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook, OR
• At least 3 years of relevant experience inclusive of 1 year of relevant experience as Resident Works Supervisor I or equivalent in an appropriate discipline in public works projects or those projects listed in Section 4.5.2 of the RSS Management Handbook

For the above technical RSS rank, candidate should have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent.

What we offer you

Appointment will be made on contract term in accordance with the prevailing government’s terms and conditions. For the usual duties of the position, please refer to RSS Management Handbook Appendix 7.4.
