Key Responsibilities: 

  • You will be expected to work under minimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility on design, engineering, or consultancy activities.   

  • You will be responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others work.  Furthermore, you may be responsible for the development of others through providing guidance, training, and feedback.   

  • Your work will encompass authoring plans, reports, and other technical documentation. 

  • You will be responsible for representing your team or group at external meetings, coordinating work during projects. 

Qualifications & Experience Required: 

  • Relevant Degree in Engineering, Rail Transport or Systems Engineering. 

  • At least 15 years domain expertise and currently in a rail system engineering management role. 

  • Experience in managing and providing input into rail systems engineering disciplines, preferably with a multiple domain knowledge; and 

  • Experience working in an international team environment whilst located in East Asia or Southeast Asia. 

  • A background in train control systems / signalling, particularly in an ETCS environment is highly preferred 

  • Good knowledge of Engineering Safety Management (e.g. The Yellow Book / iESM) 

  • Experience in 3rd party audits, ISA, IV&V roles. 

  • Knowledge and practical experience in the development of operations scenarios, asset maintainability reviews, railway rule books 

  • Experience on interfacing with greenfield and brownfield engineering works in an operating railway environment and working on major railway systems for owners / operators, regulators, or consultants. 

  • Language skills/fluency in Asian languages other than English are highly preferred especially Thai.
