About this role 
Do you find purpose in contributing to the health and wellbeing of others? As QHSE Consultant, you will use your specialist knowledge in quality, health, safety and environment to proactively support and enhance the Australasia Region’s business. Each day will see you assisting teams working on exciting projects – think Optus Stadium and Perth Airport’s T1 International Departures expansion. As part of a regional team you will also be an active contributor to the development and implementation of plans for the longer term benefit of Arup’s integrated QHSE systems and ongoing business success. 

What will I do? 

  • Contribute to the management of the integrated QHSE system throughout the Australasia Region, particularly in relation to your local office 
  • Conduct systems and project audits, including project site audits 
  • Provide QHSE advice, direction, and actions to project teams in line with relevant legislation, standards, codes of practice, guidelines, & company procedures  
  • Facilitate the provision of  QHSE training sessions  
  • Support and enhance business success, including but not limited to bid support, project support etc.  

What will I bring? 

  • Minimum 5 years’ of relevant, practical experience in quality, health & safety or environment system management ideally within a consulting business environment. 
  • Membership to relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies & professional qualifications. 
  • Proven working knowledge of related law, standards, codes of practice and guidelines 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication  
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments.
