The PPP Advisory business is growing significantly, and you will be a key member of the Leadership team responsible for the continued success and growth of the business. The team has a broad portfolio of circa 40 no. significant live infrastructure projects. We work across the full range of clients in the industry - ranging from Grantor roles to Lenders Technical Advisor, Independent Engineer and SPV Advisory. We are industry leaders and frequently win major awards for our work, including success in the Technical Advisor of the Year category for an unprecedented 3 years in a row at the PPP Partnership Awards.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director to join the PPP Leadership Team to continue our success in bidding, winning and delivering projects for our clients across a wide range of geographies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in PPP with established and successful client relationships and business development record. In addition, the individual will have strong people skills and experience in managing and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: lead and manage the successful delivery of Technical Advisor services for PPP projects, ensuring high quality deliverables to support client objectives.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities in the PPP Technical Advisor services market.
- Work Winning Support: Lead input for preparation and submission of proposals and bids.
- External Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry collaborators and sub consultants within their area of expertise.
- Skills / People Development: Mentor and guide team members and be flexible and adaptable to new areas of work. Foster a culture of sharing, collaboration and excellence.
- Market Insight: keep up to date and share with others on latest trends, opportunities, and innovation in the industry. Provide insights to inform business and skills/people development strategies.
- Networking: Represent Arup at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Is this role right for you?
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, or a relevant related field. Chartered Engineer or professionally qualified with an internationally recognised professional institution.
- Extensive experience in the PPP sector, with a focus on technical advisory input to projects in this sector.
- Strong understanding of the market.
- Proven track record of lenders technical advisory. Consideration also given to Independent Engineer experience, Grantor and SPV Advisory.
Proven experience of due diligence reports, construction and operation monitoring, and report preparation highly desirable.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire, motivate, teach and mentor teams.
A recognised expert in their specialist field.
