Our Texas plumbing team is a dynamic and diverse group with a wide range of projects on its plate! Working in various industry sectors such as healthcare, airports and museums. We’re looking for those who are interested in joining our collaborative team that can showcase their innovative and out-of-the-box thinking.

The Opportunity

  • Prepare drawings detailing the systems designed.  

  • Support system load calculations to help establish the Basis of Design for systems such as:

    • Fire Protection

    • Storm Sewer and Rainwater Harvesting

    • Sanitary and Ventilation Systems

    • Cold and Hot Water

    • DI/RO Water

    • Hospital Medgas

    • Laboratory Acid Waste and Specialty Gases

    • Natural Gas

  • Prepare drawings detailing the systems designed.  

  • Contribute to technical reports and summaries explaining design methodologies

  • Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and project teams

  • Opportunity to apply creative thinking and problem-solving in designing plumbing systems that support complex building environments – exploring multiple approaches to meet performance, sustainability, and code requirements.

  • Incorporate sustainable design into plumbing systems

  • Participate in construction administration activities, including site visits and submittal reviews.

  • Assist in performing calculations for specialized piping systems across a variety of building types.  

Is this role right for you?

Required:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, sanitary, architectural engineering   

  • Confirmed interest in the built environment, with a curiosity for how systems shape spaces   

  • Strong time management habits, with the ability to multi-task and sustain focus on long term goals

  • Ability to work directly with clients and communicate technical ideas in an accessible, engaging way

  • Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. Paired with a collaborative and creative mindset

  • Ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment   

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based collaboration

  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to colleagues at all levels

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Preferred:

  • Membership or involvement in professional organizations such as ASPE, ASHRAE, or NFPA, including student chapters or related extracurricular activities

  • Coursework in fluid hydraulics/piping/fluid dynamics    

  • Courses in sustainability

  • AutoCAD or Revit drafting skills   

  • Internship experience with an engineering-related firm, whether consulting or contracting, or relevant extracurricular involvement in plumbing engineering or related fields.

  • Experience presenting technical concepts or writing technical reports in academic settings

  • Demonstrated personal investment in academic or extracurricular activities related to engineering or the built environment

Houston Hiring Range – The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Houston is $24.00 to $43.50 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Houston will differ.
