The Opportunity

At Arup, we are dedicated to shaping a better world through sustainable infrastructure, energy transition, and innovative engineering solutions. As a Project Manager in the Renewable Energy team, you will support the delivery of renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects across Germany and Europe.

Working alongside senior project leaders, you will contribute to coordinating multidisciplinary teams, supporting project planning and monitoring activities, and ensuring that Arup’s standards of technical excellence, sustainability and project delivery are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

 

As a PM Renewable Energy at Arup, you will:

1. Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Support the delivery of renewable energy and energy infrastructure projects, including renewable generation plants and related infrastructure.

  • Assist senior project managers in coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and ensuring alignment across technical disciplines.

  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling and resource coordination.

  • Monitor project progress against scope, timeline and budget, supporting the identification of potential risks or deviations.

  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, internal reports and client deliverables.

  • Support the organisation and documentation of project meetings, workshops and coordination sessions.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, consultants and contractors to support efficient project delivery.

  • Assist in managing communication flows between project stakeholders.

  • Support the coordination of permitting processes and regulatory requirements where relevant.

3. Commercial & Project Support

  • Support the monitoring of project budgets, schedules and deliverables.

  • Contribute to procurement processes, tender reviews and contractor coordination where required.

 

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic who is willing to be part of the Energy team in Arup Germany. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Energy Engineering, Infrastructure Planning or a related technical discipline.

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in infrastructure, energy or renewable energy projects.

  • Experience contributing to multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure projects.

  • Familiarity with project planning tools such as MS Project or similar software.

  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems or energy infrastructure projects is desirable.

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Structured and proactive approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic project environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Fluent German and strong English skills.
