The Opportunity

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

You will join a small, high-performing global team that supports each other, challenges constructively and delivers high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. The role is distinctive because it is directly connected to the firm-wide technology transformation priorities, giving you exposure to senior decision-making while also giving you ownership of practical delivery, engagement and adoption activities that help turn strategy into measurable outcomes.

What is unique about the role

  • You will work at the intersection of strategy, project delivery, executive communication and change enablement, helping shape how Arup’s AI, Data and Technology Roadmap is translated into action across a global, matrixed organisation.
  • You will have direct exposure to senior stakeholders and leadership forums, with opportunities to develop strategic recommendations, decision frameworks and compelling narratives that support confident decision-making.
  • You will combine consulting-style structure and analytical thinking with hands-on execution, helping bring clarity, momentum and measurable progress to complex technology transformation priorities.
  • You will contribute to initiatives with firm-wide relevance, supporting transformation that strengthens how Arup adopts technology, data and AI to deliver better outcomes for members, clients and communities.

Growth and development opportunities

  • Develop your transformation capability by helping shape and deliver cross-functional strategic projects, standardisation initiatives and delivery rhythms that create impact across regions and disciplines.
  • Strengthen executive communication and storytelling skills by producing high-quality leadership materials, strategic presentations and audience-specific narratives on complex business and technology topics.
  • Build deeper capability in business case development, change enablement, benefits realisation, risk management and outcome tracking in a global technology transformation context.
  • Gain experience working in a global, matrixed organisation where influence, collaboration and structured problem solving are critical to success.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional strategic projects and standardisation initiatives that support Arup’s technology transformation and deliver firm-wide impact.
  • Support the design and delivery of leadership meetings, workshops, offsites, events and engagement activities that advance Digital Technology Group priorities.
  • Develop high-quality executive materials, strategic presentations and compelling narratives for leadership events and senior stakeholder engagements.
  • Develop strategic recommendations and decision frameworks that support confident decision-making by the Director, Global Technology Transformation and the wider leadership team.
  • Drive delivery of business outcomes through robust planning, business case development, change enablement, benefits realisation and proactive management of risks and issues.
  • Track, report and communicate transformation progress, ensuring transparency, accountability and alignment with senior stakeholders.
  • Act as a collaborative, high-energy colleague who takes initiative, supports others and helps create an ambitious, great place to work.

Is this role right for you?

  • Experience and proven track record in project delivery, strategy development, or business transformation, bringing a background from management consulting ideally combined with in-house experience in a large, matrixed organisation.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex topics into clear recommendations, decision frameworks and compelling narratives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across organisational boundaries without formal authority.
  • Experience designing and facilitating executive workshops, leadership forums and strategic planning processes, including producing high-quality executive materials.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI. Practical skills using LLMs or agents, including Microsoft 365 AI tools, would be valuable. Experience in technology transformation programmes is an advantage; Danish is not a prerequisite.
