We are currently seeking a Project Controls Scheduler to join our team to work on various projects in the Toronto office. The focus of this role is to provide strong planning & scheduling support to project managers & directors. Experience in the areas of Project Controls and Commercial management like cost control, general commercial support, contract administration, sub consultant management and bid support will be an added advantage.


Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Performing, monitoring, and reviewing the planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development, control, and analysis.
  • Assist in preparation of a WBS, understand how schedule is integrated with WBS and budgets.
  • Extract deliverables, milestones and other relevant information from RFP to prepare schedule at bidding stage.
  • Assist in budget estimation and resource planning.
  • Monitor critical path and raise early warnings.
  • Conduct multi-scenario analysis and generate schedule impact for change requests.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing scope changes; maintaining change; managing contract change orders.
  • Preparation of various monthly client reports;
  • Assist in sub-consultant management including tracking and validating schedules.


The Qualified professional will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in engineering design or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software packages, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • General knowledge of commercial management and experience in contractual matters preferred.
  • Design-Build and experience of working with or for major Contractors preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, data manipulation and spreadsheet design to communicate results.
  • Experience in Primavera P6 project scheduling required.
  • Experience in PowerPoint and/or PowerBI for report preparation desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Risk & Change management processes beneficial.
  • Experience of schedule risk analysis an asset.
  • Experience with Time Impact Analysis an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English desirable.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage deadline. Strong organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
  • Proactive. Willing to take on additional responsibilities without having to be assigned.
  • A team player but able to perform independently.
