The Opportunity
The Midlands PMO Commercial team is the centre of expertise for commercial management of multi-disciplinary projects. Working cross portfolio in the Midlands on high-risk, complex projects, to provide resilient and innovative range of commercial, contract and project controls skills to deliver client satisfaction, increased cashflow and maximise profit. An exciting opportunity has come up for a Project Commercial Controls Consultant to join the team in our brand new Birmingham office!
In this role you will assist the Commercial Manager or Project Manager in the implementation of project specific cost control process to ensure project profitability and other commercial goals are met. You will assist in Work Breakdown Structure definition, budget estimation, staffing plans for projects and assist in managing scope changes, commercial risk assessments, maintaining change and risk registers, preparing fee estimations and writing change orders. Another aspect of the role will be maintaining and developing project trackers with MS tools to record, review, monitor and analyse financial performance, conduct variance analysis and assist in determining corrective actions to address poor financial performance.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of has been responsible for project programme based reports, including performance, forecasting analysis including presenting reports and recommendations to a project team.
- Knowledge of scheduling and planning process including critical path analysis.
- Knowledge of professional services contracts. Including but not limited to, NEC Professional Services Contract.
- Skilled in MS Excel and MS Power Platform.
- Member of or working towards full membership of a professional institution.
