Oasys is the software house of Arup. Under the Oasys brand we develop the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment - complex engineering software used for simulation in automotive, aerospace, energy and civil engineering industries. 

We’re committed to providing our clients with the best possible service through our product development, sales and marketing activities, customer events, conferences and training courses. To support this, we are looking to strengthen the Product Marketing function and to contribute to the Marketing Communications team’s efforts.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Specialist to help raise the profile and position the Oasys LS-DYNA Environment software within key external markets. In this role, you will support the development and delivery of the product marketing plan and contribute to marketing communications activities, including for campaigns, launches and events.

Your primary relationships will be with the Product Management, Marketing Communications, Support, Sales and Operations teams across the Oasys LS-DYNA business in the UK, India, China, Japan and the USA.

You will also build relationships with your counterparts across our global distributor network and other partner organisations to encourage and support joint marketing campaigns.

You will have opportunities for professional development and mentoring supported by the Arup marketing network and other skills networks.

This role can be based in London or Birmingham and will see you:

  • Working with the product marketing lead to deliver a programme of activities as defined in the product marketing plan, including customer insight & engagement, market research, competitive intelligence and go-to-market planning.
  • Conducting customer insight activities and persona studies to better understand customer pain-points and needs, and the usage and perceptions of our products; Conducting market research activities to help evaluate new market/product opportunities
  • Undertaking competitive intelligence activities, including the management of competitor benchmarking programmes and battlecard development
  • Developing messaging frameworks, materials and content that help effectively position and promote the product portfolio, including articles, case studies and social media.
  • Supporting the execution of campaigns and product launches into existing and new markets, including through development of go-to-market plans, sales tools, and support for promotional activities, digital campaign execution and events
  • Maintaining regular communications with a network of internal client groups / software users

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in a marketing, product marketing/management or similar role, preferably in a B2B information technology or engineering context.
  • Professional qualifications in Product Marketing or Marketing eg. CIM, PMA, Pragmatic
  • Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation and social media tools and strategies would be beneficial
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills, willingness to take on new challenges and an enthusiasm to learn from and share with others.
