Whilst always putting sustainable development at the heart of everything we do. As part of this, the Group Procurement team will be transforming and improving our operations globally.
We have an opportunity for an individual to join the team on a temporary basis for 6 months, to support the finance change program. In this role, you will be part of a global procurement function, supporting the rollout of Phase 2 of a new purchase ordering system across the organisation. To support with Phase 2 of the new PO system, you will assist with training delivery and provide stakeholder support to ensure successful adoption of the system. Acting as a key point of contact, you will offer expert guidance on procurement processes and systems, building strong relationships and influencing a wide range of stakeholders. Your work will contribute to robust, efficient outcomes that benefit Arup, its members, and external partners.
In addition to Phase 2 of the PO system, the existing Phase 1 implementation needs support to increase usage by working with stakeholders to find the best way to use POs for their areas.

Focus:
Support Procurement Processes
Provide comprehensive support to colleagues to ensure effective utilisation of the organisation’s procurement systems and processes.
- Training and System Rollout
Assist with the creation and delivery of training materials for the purchase ordering system, contributing to the successful implementation of the system rollout project. - Data Analysis and Stakeholder Engagement
Monitor purchase orders and analyse usage data to identify key stakeholders, targeting them for improved system adoption and engagement. - Relationship Building
Develop strong internal and external relationships to establish yourself as a trusted business partner and the primary point of contact for procurement-related support. - Vendor and Stakeholder Communication
Liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve purchase order queries, ensuring smooth and efficient operations within the team. - Reporting and Record Maintenance
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on progress and plans, aligned with functional standards and expectations.
Sustainability Alignment
Embed sustainability into daily activities, supporting the organisation’s goals around carbon reduction and social responsibility.

Qualifications
- Procurement Experience
Demonstrated experience in operational procurement within a large or multi-regional organisation. - Procurement Systems Knowledge
Familiarity with core procurement principles and systems. Experience with SAP Concur PO is advantageous. - Communication Skills
Strong communication abilities, with confidence in engaging internal stakeholders and external vendors. - Delivery Focus
Proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes that highlight the value of procurement within the organisation. - Attention to Detail
A meticulous approach to work, with a commitment to continuous improvement and accuracy. - Technology-Driven Efficiency
Experience in leveraging technology to drive value, efficiency and process optimisation. - Educational Background
A range of qualifications will be considered, reflecting the diverse pathways into procurement roles.
