The role is based in Los Angeles to primarily serve the local West Coast market.

The Opportunity

  • You will engage with existing customers, take ownership of outstanding CAE issues and deliver the highest level of technical support.
  • You will perform presales presentations to new potential customers, understand the users’ needs and articulate our products’ value proposition to their engineering teams.
  • You will drive demand, adoption and the overall success of these products in the region and actively contribute to our growth targets.
  • You may also instruct application-focused training classes on our products.
  • You will collaborate closely with Presales/Application Representatives in other regions to coordinate activities, provide updates on product capabilities, share market intelligence and winning strategies.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

Is this role right for you?

  • 2 or more years of experience in a software environment as a Presales/Application Engineer or as a Finite Element Analyst within an engineering consultancy.
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Ansys/LS-DYNA required, applied to crash safety or other dynamic load cases.
  • Understanding of CAE workflow in automotive, aerospace and/or in civil engineering.
  • Coding skills using C++, Python and/or JavaScript is an asset.
  • Good communication, autonomy while working with the software management and development team.
