Power Systems Engineering Intern (Available June 2024)

The Opportunity
· Design of energy storage systems, Solar Plant, high voltage, and medium voltage system including onshore wind farms
· Participation in technical due diligence reviews of infrastructure assets for lenders, mergers, and acquisitions.
· Perform various electrical system studies like short circuit, AC & DC cable ampacity, Arc flash, Load flow and Energy yield analysis.
· Provide input parameters for various software used for renewable energy modelling like PVsyst, Xendi, PVcase and Homar Pro

Required:
· Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline related to Electrical, Power System, or Renewable Energy.
· Knowledge of basic business and operational concepts
· Hands on experience operating AutoCAD drawings
· The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
· Presentation skills with colleagues and clients at all levels
· Analytical mindset and/or Strategic thinker
· Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
· Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Preferred:
· Pursuing a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline related to Power System or Renewable Energy.
· FE/EIT certification
· Scripting/Programming (Python, C++, or other) proficiency
· Working understanding of project development process and project finance
