Power Systems Engineer (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne)

Join our dynamic technical consulting team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne, working on innovative projects in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on Australian and international assignments involving solar PV, wind, battery storage, and more.
The Opportunity:
- Contribute to power systems studies, substation design, and renewable energy studies.
- Work on network modelling (steady state and dynamic) and preparation of Generator Performance Standards (GPS) and Releasable User Guides (RUG).
- Support the submission of Connection Agreements and Generator Registrations for clients wishing to connect to the National Energy Market (NEM).
- Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing your technical expertise and fostering professional growth through guidance, feedback and knowledge-sharing across project teams.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, providing expert advice, presenting technical solutions and ensuring alignment between project outcomes and client expectations.

Is this role right for you?
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in power systems.
- Proficiency in Python, PSCAD, PSSE, or Powerfactory (preferred)
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting messaging to suit diverse staholders and project contexts.
- Demonstrate resilience and a proactive mindset, consistently contributing to to team success under pressure while supporting colleagues to meet shared goals and deadlines.
