Our Seattle Office is currently seeking a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. We work on projects that are both local and non-local ranging from large technology companies, laboratories, healthcare, pharma, and commercial. We are looking for someone who is passionate about designing sophisticated plumbing/sanitary systems that align with our mission of Shaping a Better World.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Designing plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of projects such as high-rise towers, mixed-use developments, tenant fit-outs, laboratories, higher education, and museums
  • Collaborating with senior plumbing staff and mechanical and electrical teams to deliver project designs to meet project requirements and timelines
  • Documenting any engineering analysis work, including code research, load calculations, and equipment sizing, in a clear manner
  • Performing design and calculation review to confirm the accuracy of your work
  • Documenting systems design in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers to help complete work you're doing
  • Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
  • Participating in local Professional Associations

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in designing plumbing and fire protection systems
  • AutoCAD and Revit drafting experience, Revit preferred
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, sanitary, environmental, or architectural engineering, or commensurate years of experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience designing systems such as rainwater collection, water re-use systems, and solar hot water generation.
  • EIT/FE, CPD, LEED AP, or WELL Certification
  • Experience with healthcare projects

 

Qualities:

The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills are required for our constantly evolving environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working. Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
