In joining our Human Resources team for the Bogota office, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and professional service to our entire client base. In this role, you will impact our business by supporting critical functions that help People Operations run efficiently.

The opportunity 

  • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient support and advice for staff on simple policy and procedure questions including self-service and navigation queries (‘how to’, ‘where do I find’)
  • Production of key employment documents including contracts/letters of offer, internal transfer letters, change in term letters etc. ensuring proper approvals are in place before issuing.
  • Support Total Rewards team by ensuring leaves from carriers are entered timely and appropriately in People systems.
  • Support Learning & Development with Learning Management System (LMS) reports, course set-up, and annual learning events
  •  Manage new starter process and orientations, including working with recruiters, new employees, business services, supervisors, etc.
  • Maintain and keep staff records up to date by processing staff data changes in relevant systems quickly and with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Maintain up to date online staff files and records in compliance with applicable legal requirements. 
  • Support requests for reports as needed. 
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of People policies and self-service options. 
  • Support the delivery of critical People cyclical process such as performance appraisals, promotions, salary reviews and learning events.
  • Support broader People initiatives by ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services.
  • Contribute to a constructive culture that improves Arup’s people’s experience.
  • Work on specific projects in the annual People plan (in or outside your area) independently or in a team as part of your growth and development.
  • Partner with US-based HRBP to provide HR support to the Arup's Bogota office, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment coordination, and compliance with local employment laws.
  • Process terminations and conduct exit interviews. 
  • Coordinate intern co-op and SENA programs.

The skills

  • Prominent level of interpersonal skills and integrity to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Strong service orientation with a demonstrated desire to go above and beyond.
  • 4 plus years of experience working in the human resources field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills - ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Solid attention to detail in composing and proofing documents 
  • The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills are required for our constantly evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of software applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software and Human Resources systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field – preferred 
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal, and communication skills with colleagues of all levels in English and Spanish required.
