Arup is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Payroll Officer for its ANZ Finance team. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate salary and wage payments for over 2,700 employees monthly and over 100 employees fortnightly across Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity
- Prepare and run casual pay fortnightly, assist with monthly and month-end pay, and manage shared payroll inbox.
- Prepare termination emails, follow up with employees, and assist with termination calculations before payment.
- Lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) after each pay run, maintain pay records, and assist with monthly salary payment preparation, including transaction entry and payment calculations.
- Assist in the preparation of third-party payments, taxation lodgement calculations, and superannuation preparation for review before payments.
- Help complete June year-end processes, including ATO Income Statements, Payroll Tax Reconciliations, and payroll system year-end close-off.
Is this role right for you?
- Relevant industry experience in payroll within a professional services business environment.
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
- Experience with Oracle, Sage MicrOpay, ConnX software, or other large enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight service level deadlines
