Arup Melbourne Rail team are looking for an experienced OLE designer to join their growing team with the primary focus to deliver OLE engineering designs for existing and future rail works. 

About you
As a successful candidate for this role you will be able to demonstrate:
•    Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or similar area.
•    Significant industry experience in OLE design within a consulting business environment across a range of medium to large scale projects.
•    Demonstrated significant understanding of:
-    General electric design
-    Overhead wiring design
-    Earthing and bonding
-    Constructability of OLE equipment within an operational rail environment
-    Best practice OLE design 
-    Installation of new OLE equipment into existing rail environments accommodating legacy issues.
-    Working with interfacing disciplines for the best overall solutions
•    Experience leading teams on multi-disciplinary projects and developing less experienced engineers.
•    Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies (including Chartered Status from the Institution of Engineers Australia).
•    Desire to excel.

About the role
The role’s responsibilities include:
•    Accountability for designing complex OLE tasks and challenges.  
•    Representing Arup at internal and external meetings.
•    Assisting with the business and contributing to the development plan of Arup.
•    Adhering to Arup’s Quality Management System.
•    Guiding and developing junior staff members.  This would require you to provide guidance, training, motivation and direction to staff.
•    Setting elements of budgets and working within the budgets assigned to you for your element of the work.
