Responsibilities:
- Assist in dealing with public relations matters related to public works project, including but not limited to drafting speeches, handling media/public enquiries and complaints, preparing and editing press materials and publications, meeting the media, attending public consultation activities, organising press conferences and other media events
- Liaise and attend meetings with District Council or Rural Committee members and other stakeholders/consultees
- Collaborate with other public relations units/teams of the relevant Government bureaux/departments
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Degree in Public Relations, Communication Studies, Journalism or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience; preferably in public relations agencies or media or working experience in handling press releases and public/media enquiries
- Strong sense in public affairs, interest in meeting people and with good coordination skills.
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines, detail- and result-oriented
- Good skills in dealing with designers and production agencies and other service providers
- Well versed in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficiency in English and Chinese including Cantonese and Putonghua
The position will be on Arup's fixed-term contract & full-time basis to be seconded to client’s office. We offer a competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience to the right candidate.
