As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will learn and apply the following: 

•Revit and/or other Building Information Modelling (BIM) software
•Load analyses and energy modelling for the purposes of system sizing
•Calculations for designing building HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
•Responding to requests for information and shop drawings for projects in construction
•Report writing for creating a basis of design for new projects
•Attending meetings and learning from listening, asking questions and discussion
•Working with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects. 

•Currently pursuing a Degree in a relevant field of Engineering 
•Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require visa sponsorship
•Proven interest in the built-environment and sustainability practices
•Interest in multidisciplinary 3-D Spatial Design and Coordination
•Good time management habits, ability to multi-task, ability to sustain focus on long tasks
•Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way
•Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork, creativity
•Ability to implement new ideas to improve upon current working practices

•3.0 GPA or higher
•Energy/thermal modeling experience using IES-VE or similar tools
•3-D Design experience using Revit or similar tools
•Past internship with HVAC or plumbing emphasis
•Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with intermittent supervision
•Past history of technical presentations and technical writing
•Evidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular field
•Evidence of improving workflows through automation and digital tools
