In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect our reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent. This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a Marketing Data Analyst to strengthen our MCBD function.
The Opportunity
This role is within the evolving global business development team. You will be working with business development personnel across the firm, including those responsible for the development of client systems and those running business development programmes such as the client programme, the contractor programme and initiatives identified by the Business and Markets Executive / Business Growth and Client Systems leadership. Key Responsibilities
Develop and assist in the development of all forms of Power BI reporting utilizing CRM, finance and other data for use by the marketing, communications, business development and Business and Markets communities across Arup.
Work with leadership, MCBD and other members of the Client Systems team to define requirements for reporting, to sketch out possible solutions, and to elicit feedback once reporting has been created.
Support the coordination of the Marketing Data Warehouse. Work with our digital marketing experts on our data warehouse that stores data from our digital marketing platform, Marketo, and its evolution to encompass website and social media data. Its aim is to give a complete picture of the operation of our digital marketing channels.
Bring your expertise in reporting to support the development of CRM and other tools so that our data is best configured to produce the reporting we need.
Explore the use of AI to support development of reporting solutions as well as generate insights into our business growth department.
Collaborate with the wider ARUP’s analytics community in predictive modeling and statistical analysis projects that would help surface insights around improving our work-winning processes.
Is this role right for me?
Requirements
Experience in the use of Power BI plus high-level Excel skills. Desire to grow these skills. Potential interest in languages such as Python and tools such as Databricks and SQL querying.
Experience working with CRM and/or finance data. Knowledge of how to clean data prior to processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think laterally to suggest potential solutions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Qualifications and Accreditations
Degree, postgraduate qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Knowledge Management or a related field.
Knowledge and Experience
Experience in data management, knowledge management and analytics.
Knowledge of client systems and software development.
Proficiency in marketing and communications related technologies, and knowledge of marketing data including bidding and clients data.
Experience in building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.
Knowledge of current trends in AI, data information, machine learning and data quality is a plus.
