As the Rail Systems Business Lead for Malaysia, you will have the incredible opportunity to shape the future of rail transportation. You will play a crucial role in championing the commercial growth, overseeing the design development, and implementation of cutting-edge rail systems that will revolutionize the way people and goods are transported. The Opportunity

  • You will manage and grow the Malaysian Rail Systems business and projects.
  • You will lead and deliver projects under minimal supervision within the defined area of responsibility of rail systems engineering, often in the capacity of Project Manager of technical leader
  • You will be responsible for securing new work for your team and work closely with the Malaysia Rail Business Leader, the Southeast Asia and Australasia Rail Business Leaders and other leaders as required. You will lead bids as Bid Manager and lead business development activities within your scope of accountability.
  • You will interface and coordinate with regional and global rail systems teams to deliver projects together, support each other with resources and technical support, provide technical expertise and guidance when needed.
  • You will lead and mentor the members of your team and will be responsible for the development of their technical excellence within your scope of influence.

Is this role right for you?

  • Relevant Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical.
  • Over 15 years of experience in railway systems, with strong experience across the whole spectrum of Systems Engineering and preferably with a specialist domain in Rolling Stock, Signalling or Power. .
  • Strong Project Management skills and capabilities. Experience having delivered major projects as Project Manager or Project Director roles.
  • Proven track record in business development, client management, bidding and/or securing new projects. Existing network of clients and contacts is highly preferred.
  • Strong team leadership experience including team management, team growth, performance management etc.
