This role will be responsible for professional project management of one or more Aviation Digital projects, from initiation to handover, for a prestigious Airport Clients. Aviation Digital projects range from IT Infrastructure to Operational Systems to Digital & Data Solutions, for both new and existing airports and terminals. The role will oversee all aspects of a project including but not limited to the following, customer requirements, scope management, schedules (alignment with the customer), resource planning, project costs/budget, documentation, communications, 3rd party vendor co-ordination, and deliverables and ultimately the customer’s satisfaction.
The individual requires a strategic understanding of Airport/Aviation operations, Civil Aviation and Regulatory Authority regulations, processes (e.g. Airport Systems Design, ORAT) and Standards (IATA standards), technologies and systems. An understanding of airport construction is also desirable for some projects.


The Opportunity

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy and technology initiatives to support the aviation industry's evolving needs. This will include collaborating with key stakeholders to define IT roadmaps and ensure alignment with business strategies.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and secure IT infrastructure systems, networks, and databases. You will Lead the planning, implementation, and integration of new IT systems, applications, and software across the organization.
  • Manage vendor relationships and SLAs to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and support. You will drive the adoption of innovative solutions to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Establish and enforce cybersecurity measures and best practices to protect critical aviation systems, data, and infrastructure. Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential IT risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Liaise with external partners, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders to stay informed about industry developments and foster strategic partnerships.

Is this role right for you?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with at least 20 years of relevant digital technology experience in consulting for the aviation industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Aviation technologies, Systems, and Solutions such as Passenger Processing Systems, Airport Operational Systems, Information Systems, Smart Airport Solutions, Aviation Automation Systems and IT Infrastructure.
  • Strong experience working with aviation stakeholders to understand technical, operational, financial and business requirements, and the use of technology to meet them.
  • Strong Experience in strategic and delivery roles. Management Consulting services in business architecture, strategy, business analysis, portfolio development, programme design and project delivery
  • Experienced in the design and build of systems, systems infrastructure and systems engineering solutions within operational environments and construction mega-projects.
  • Familiar with the Airport Design, Airport Master Plan and ORAT processes (Operational Readiness and Airport Transition)
  • Knowledge in Big Data, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence Data Warehousing, and Internet of Things (IOT).
