The Opportunity

Join our Building Engineering team in Cork and contribute to impactful projects across Ireland and Europe. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career development and the chance to work on cutting-edge structural engineering projects.

 

 

As a Structural Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Undertake structural analysis using GSA, Tekla Structural Designer, or other structural software. 

  • Complete the design of structural elements in reinforced concrete, steel, timber, or masonry. 

  • Prepare mark-ups and work with structural technicians to produce structural drawings using Revit. 

  • Represent Arup at meetings with the client, other consultants and/or contractors. 

  • Conduct site visits and structural investigations. 

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and site reports. 

  • Collaborate with the Design Team on Common Data Environments such as ACC.

 

 

Does this role inspire you?

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient individual with a passion for structural engineering and a commitment to sustainable design.  

Candidates must have: 

  • 1 - 3 years of post - graduate experience in structural design. 

  • Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar. MEng or equivalent preferred.

     

We also value:

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Proficiency in relevant design software packages.

  • Interest in using and developing digital design tools to deliver smart solutions.
