Shape a future with purpose at Arup in Amsterdam.

Arup’s purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 80 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

The Opportunity
In this role, you will further develop your project management experience in a targeted and structured way. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will support a diverse range of projects across the industrial, research, and digital infrastructure sectors, gradually taking on greater responsibility. You will gain exposure to different project phases, coordinate key stakeholders, and contribute to the structured and successful delivery of projects.

As a (Junior) Project Manager at Arup, you will:

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams together with Project Managers and Design Managers, helping to drive complex projects forward in a structured and efficient manner
  • Manage and maintain project schedules, deliverables, and documentation, ensuring transparency around progress, milestones, and next steps
  • Actively monitor project progress, risks, costs, and timelines, supporting reliable project governance and informed decision-making
  • Facilitate effective communication between clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity and alignment through well-prepared planning and coordination of meetings
  • Contribute to quality standards and project reporting while building valuable expertise in project planning and professional project delivery processes
  • Take on increasingly independent responsibilities as your experience grows and develop step by step towards managing your own projects

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for colleagues who are passionate about Project Management. We also value:

  • A completed degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Project Management, or a related discipline
  • Initial experience gained through engineering, construction, or consulting projects, whether through graduate roles, internships, or student positions
  • An interest in industrial, research, infrastructure, or mission-critical facilities, and the ambition to contribute within a technically demanding environment
  • A basic understanding of local and international project delivery standards, combined with strong organisational and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in international, multidisciplinary teams, very good Dutch and good English language skills, and the motivation to continuously develop professionally
