The Opportunity
Join our growing project management team and contribute to a diverse range of projects across science, industry, technology, and property sectors in the Netherlands and internationally. As a Junior Project Manager at Arup, you'll play a key role in delivering sustainable solutions that make a real difference.
As a Junior Project Manager at Arup, you will:
- Coordinate, manage, and control project activities, ensuring alignment with client objectives and internal priorities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on diverse projects while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Be involved in managing engineering teams, developing project plans, implementing governance structures, project controls and managing resources effectively.
- Manage project documentation, including developing and maintaining document control systems, creating filing systems, and overseeing document distribution. This includes interfacing with client systems and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Facilitate project meetings, prepare minutes, and track action items.
- Evaluate and streamline existing document management processes, developing new policies and procedures as needed.
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for a passionate and driven individual with a strong interest in project management, project controls, and collaborative teamwork. You should have:
- A completed relevant university degree (e.g., Construction Management & Engineering or Civil Engineering).
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in project and/or design management and document control in the built environment.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage projects to deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 (advantageous).
