Role

For our Milan Office we are seeking a Intern Bridge Engineer.

 

You will have the opportunity to:

 

·       Be part of design team of challenging bridge projects

·       Be involved in all design cycle of projects from concept to detailed design and asset management

You will learn and apply the following skills:

 

·       Structural software skills (training course, on-the-job)

·       Structural analysis modeling (on-the-job)

·       Learning about the Arup Structural Skills Network (introduction course, on-the-job)

·       Learning to navigate through codes and/or guidelines.

Requirements 

Essential Skills and Knowledge 

 

·       Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Bridges (or close to Graduation)

·       Excellent academic background

·       Fluency in English language

·       Skills in planning and organizing

·       Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn. 

Preferred:

·       Coursework in Bridges design and (preferably) a Master thesis on Bridges

·       Knowledge and experience of Structural software skills (preferably Midas Civil and/or SOFiSTiK)

·       Software skills: MathCad, AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modeling (Rhino, Grasshopper, etc.)

·       Knowledge and experience with programming language such as C++, Python, etc

·       Proven ability to perform in a deadline environment

·       Past history of technical presentations and technical writing

·       Evidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular field.
