About the role

 

Based in Kuala Lumpur, this role is the leader of the Infrastructure team across Malaysia and is accountable for the strategic and operational direction and sustainable delivery of this team.  This will be achieved by working collaboratively across the Arup Group to identify and understand the market and business opportunities, build plans, win work, coach the team and deliver project and client outcomes that enhance the overall business and ultimately ensure sustainable commercial success.  All of this will be achieved in line with the Australasian region’s business strategy and growth objectives.

 

You will be a key part of the Malaysian Leadership team and will be responsible for leading a large team of 80 high performing professionals.  As a key leadership role, the role’s success will be oriented around delivering excellent, high-quality work to clients, through the engagement, motivation, performance and resourcing of this team.

              

What experience and insights will you bring?

 

  • A proven business leader with success in leading a consulting business in the Infrastructure environment, as well as in coaching and developing large, diverse and complex teams;
  • Extensive knowledge of the Infrastructure sector and marketplace in Malaysia and broader SE Asia including understanding of key opportunities, issues and emerging trends and practices;
  • Proven experience in leading business development activities, as well as the successful management of multi-disciplinary projects and teams which involve delivering digital, sustainable development and excellent technical outcomes for clients;
  • A recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or associated discipline, with chartered membership of a relevant professional body.

  • Values driven with professional maturity and enthusiasm.
