ICT Design Engineer



We are seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join our Building Engineering Group in our Dublin office. The candidate will be involved in a diverse and challenging range of design projects across all sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centres, retail, leisure and educational. An integral member of our multi-disciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and co-ordination of ICT Infrastructure and related systems for a range of projects and will be expected to take them from initial brief through scheme and detailed design to installation and commissioning support.


Experience/Qualifications required:

  • Degree in a relevant ICT design engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.

  • Working towards achieving Chartered status (or equivalent professional registration.

  • 3+ years post-qualification experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.

  • Experience in a range of projects across multiple sectors.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven team player.

  • Organised and adaptable with a flexible approach to work.

  • Highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Design of ICT infrastructure, Security, A/V and Smart Building systems.

  • Preparation of project specifications and drawings.

  • Reviewing design work of junior engineers.

  • Coordination of work with all members of multi-disciplinary design teams.

  • Ensuring that all designs and documents are prepared to the highest standards.

  • Conceptual design studies and reports.

  • Estimating and Cost Control on projects.

  • Compiling project reports.

  • Mentoring and development of junior engineers in the group.
