About the Role 

Our Human Resources team is looking for a passionate HR Coordinator to support the administration of HR functions and enhance employee experience. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will support day-to-day operations of HR and ensure smooth people processes for our colleagues while also gaining exposure to the broader HR agenda. 

You’ll join the Business Services team in Denmark, a dynamic group of professionals from a range of disciplines, including Administration, IT, Facilities, Finance, and HR. Together, we provide first-class support to our colleagues in the Copenhagen office. We're known for our collaborative spirit, quick problem-solving, and a good dose of humour (not to mention our great sense of fashion and excellent playlists). The Opportunity

You will play a key part in maintaining high-quality HR services while driving process improvements and leveraging digital tools to enhance how we work. You will not simply follow our processes but help us transform and simplify our workflows by implementing streamlined, automated solutions that save time and enhance accuracy. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in broader HR initiatives such as employee engagement and data-driven analysis. 

 

As an HR Coordinator at Arup, you will: 

Support HR operations by managing monthly administrative tasks, assisting leaders with employee matters, and providing a seamless experience for staff throughout the entire employee lifecycle. Furtheremore, you will help us improve the current processes to make them smarter.

 

  • Own and maintain accurate employee records and HR data across multiple systems, ensuring compliance and supporting seamless HR operations. 

  • Lead the onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a smooth, positive experience for new hires and departing employees. 

  • Manage employee leave requests and benefits programs, balancing diverse needs while maintaining fairness and consistency. 

  • Support recruitment and coordinate our attendance at job fairs in collaboration with Talent Acquisition. 

  • Collaborate with our external partner to prepare timely and accurate monthly payroll. 

  • Partner with leaders to address employee-related matters and provide guidance on HR policies, best practices, and people-related processes. 

  • Drive improvements in internal HR processes and contribute to meaningful projects such as diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, supporting the development of a dynamic workplace culture. 

 

 

Is this role right for you? 

You have a strong sense of structure, detailed-oriented approach, and a genuine interest in supporting systems, processes, and people. You’ll also bring: 

 

  • At least 3 years of experience working in Human Resources in Denmark.

  • Solid understanding of Danish labour law and HR practices. 

  • Strong digital skills, particularly in Microsoft Forms, Excel, and Power BI. 

 

Requirements 

In addition to the mentioned above, you hold:  

  • A master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or related fields – with strong academic results. 

  • Strong administrative experience in a busy team (HR administration experience an advantage). 

  • Strong data administration and system experience and skills including MS Office. 

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple tasks. 

  • Experience with payroll processes and managing a payroll vendor.

  • Experience or interest in digital process optimization, including automating forms, onboarding steps, and HR workflows. 

  • Comfortable using HR systems and digital tools; experience with data visualization or reporting platforms like Power BI, Excel dashboards, or similar.  

  • Fluent in English and Danish.
