Are you passionate about creating tangible differences and driving excellence in HSEQ? Due to project development and growth, Arup is seeking a new HSEQ leader to join our firm to help us deliver sustainable development across the Australia and New Zealand region.

Reporting to the HSEQ Leader, APAC, you will have access to regional and global communities of HSEQ professionals, to collaborate with and ensure that HSEQ remains top of mind throughout our firm as we shape a better world, safely.


The Opportunity

  • Provide clear direction, support to motivate team members to deliver an excellent service to the business.
  • Lead a multi-country team that is widely dispersed across our ANZ geographies towards managing workloads to ensure an excellent and equitable service is delivered to firm and clients.
  • Ability to communicate HSEQ and firm strategic plan into practical actions across all the region.    
  • Collaborate with a professional network within and outside of Arup, investing time to learn how other organisations and professions approach HSEQ. Establish client relationships across the region to drive deeper relationships with towards influencing beyond contractual value.  
  • Ensure the programme of internal audits, checking and inspections are completed to plan across geography/region, lead where necessary on large, complex or high-risk audits.
  • Lead business continuity, consolidating plans across the geography/region.

Is this role right for you?

  • Professionally qualified in at least one discipline Quality, H&S or Environmental Management.
  • Developing knowledge of all disciplines of HSEQ
  • A passion for driving HSEQ forwards
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience across multiple countries/regions
