With our headquarters in London and offices around the UK, India, Middle East, Africa and South East Asia, we work seamlessly and collaboratively with our international studios on projects all over the world. We are a core integrated team of landscape designers, landscape planners and digital specialists who deliver a wide range of projects with passion, creativity and innovation including landscape character assessment, LVIA, green infrastructure strategies, concept design, masterplanning, detailed design, visualisations and 3D modelling. We work side by side with a wide range of Arup’s other specialist disciplines including urban design, ecology, town planning, digital technology, engineering, cost consulting and project management. For further information and some examples of our work, please click the following links: https://www.arup.com/expertise/services/planning/landscape-architecture https://www.arup.com/expertise/services/planning/masterplanning https://www.arup.com/expertise/industry/cities Design Leaders: we lead Landscape projects including the likes of Riverfronts, Waterways, Regenerative Landscapes, wetlands, streetscapes, etc. We also play a leading role in creating BlueGreen frameworks for Masterplans, based on hydrology analysis, ecological assessments and placemaking criteria – informing the basic frameworks for masterplans, townships and urban development projects. We contribute towards achieving several SDGs for all our projects. Integrators: we bring Arup and our partners technical expertise together to create maximum impact through integrated design of spaces Storytellers: we communicate compelling futures for our clients and communities Local and global: we work internationally, creating place specific designs rooted in context Big and small: we design from the scale of streets to neighbourhoods to city regions. We are looking for young Landscape Architects to join our UKIMEA* team, based in our India offices (either Delhi or Mumbai). Successful candidates will contribute to a diverse portfolio of international projects, working alongside our passionate and highly skilled team, as well as the broader expertise of Arup and our partners. You will be working alongside an unrivalled community of experts, who will support and nurture your growth from the outset. In return, you’ll help us deliver effective and professional services in a wide range of sectors and clients. The eventual work profile includes setting up the Landscape Architecture Team in India to lead various types of Urban Design and public/ private projects. You should have: The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications, attributes, and skills as well as an interest in design as part of an integrated assessment process. Essential Skills and Knowledge: • A Masters or Post Graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture. • CMLI and/or ISOLA accreditation with good knowledge of professional ethics and ethical framework. • Demonstrable professional experience of landscape architecture (1+ years) would be desirable. • Strong team working skills, particularly working in multi-disciplinary teams including infrastructure, environment and transport. • A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, Sketchup and Microsoft Office; • A designer with strong visual communication skills and an ability to share ideas through sketching and hand drawing • Focus on detail delivery and formulation of construction details - are essential. • Awareness of LVIA and how it influences a project Desirable Skills and Knowledge: • Specific sector experience in areas such as infrastructure, commercial development, urban regeneration, residential, education, health, energy, historic buildings and landscape planning strategic policy (academic experience shall be considered); • Experience of and an interest in stakeholder engagement; • Experience of using BIM Revit is desirable.
