The Opportunity: 

This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a Global Programme Manager to strengthen our Corporate Affairs and Partnerships Team. 

The Global Programme Manager is responsible for managing activities that create and foster positive relationships with external stakeholders, including, our clients and industry partners, trade and business associations, advocacy groups, and NGOs. This role plays a central role in implementation of our global partnership strategy, global membership and relationship programmes and includes analysis and reporting on return on investment.

You’re someone who keeps up with global trends and may have professional experience in energy, water, property or digitally driven sustainable solutions. 

You are diplomatic and a clear communicator, working with a wide range of teams and cultures with integrity and professionalism. You're comfortable navigating complexity a d managing multiple initiatives. Above all, you're aligned with Arup’s values and driven to uphold our commitment to quality, and straight and honourable dealings. 

Responsibilities

Partnerships 

  • Manage the delivery of Arup’s global partnerships programme 

  • Develop and manage annual partnership plans and tactical activities 

  • Conduct reviews and undertake due diligence to support partnership alignment and value 

  • Support negotiation and renewal of partnership agreements 

  • Contribute to the management of partnership budget and financial forecasting 

  • Report on the impact and value generated through partnerships 

Memberships Programme Management 

  • Manage Arup’s global memberships with a planned, transparent approach 

  • Design and work with membership leads to implement engagement plans 

  • Partner with internal leads to strengthen membership value 

  • Manage global membership budget, monitoring spend 

  • Monitor and report on impact delivered through memberships

External Relationships 

  • Contribute to the development and management implementation of consistent firm-wide approaches to external engagement 

  • Coordinate Arup’s global managed relationships 

  • Monitor and report on relationship impact and strategic alignment

Cross-Team Collaboration and Best Practice

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment with Arup’s strategy 

  • Cultivate new ideas and continuous improvement in our approach 

  • Engage with external contacts to develop opportunities and increase value
