The Opportunity
Following a global finance transformation programme, Arup is evolving its procurement function to drive greater efficiency, consistency, and stronger controls across our operations. With sustainability at the core of our strategy, the Group Procurement team is leading a global-first approach to deliver improved outcomes across key categories.
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to support the Property & Workplace category, covering areas such as facilities management, energy, and maintenance. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping procurement delivery while supporting global transformation initiatives.
Reporting to the Category Manager, you will lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activity, working closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver value, mitigate risk, and enhance supplier performance.
You will play a key role in delivering strategic procurement outcomes that improve cost, quality, and risk management, while contributing to Arup’s sustainability and operational excellence goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
- Managing supplier performance and supporting contract lifecycle activities
- Partnering with stakeholders and external markets to identify opportunities and drive value
- Undertaking commercial due diligence and ensuring compliance with procurement standards
- Embedding sustainability and decarbonisation into procurement practices
- Collaborating with Legal, Finance and wider teams to deliver robust agreements
- Supporting global procurement initiatives and continuous improvement activities
Is This Role Right for You?
You will bring strong procurement experience within facilities, workplace services, or a related category, ideally in a multi-region or professional services environment.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
- Strong understanding of commercial risk, governance, and compliance (e.g. GDPR, data security)
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Focus on delivering measurable value and continuous improvement
- Experience using procurement tools and systems
- Degree-qualified and/or professionally accredited (e.g. MCIPS) preferred
