You will collaborate with members of the global energy, water & resources community as well as marketing and communications colleagues at global and regional levels – these will include communications channel managers and marketers responsible for business and services marketing.
We are open to candidates based in any of our offices in the UK, Copenhagen or Madrid.

The Opportunity
The purpose of this role is to raise the profile and position Arup’s global water, energy, and resources business offerings with its key external markets and priority clients. The postholder will help to shape and play a central role in implementing the annual marketing and communications plans for the businesses within the Energy, Water & Resources portfolio.
The role involves delivering a tactical programme of marketing and communications activity as defined in the global water, energy, and resources business annual marketing and communications plans. This includes planned and reactive external marketing activities such as marketing programme development, creation and communication of new and updated Arup web content with a thought leadership and project focus, creation of new and updated marketing collateral for use in client conversations. You'll work with the Energy and Water Marketing Leads securing industry speaking engagements for industry experts and working with speakers to prepare for these events, securing, drafting and editing pieces for industry publications, creating new or updated social media content, identifying suitable awards and drafting and editing award entries, and involvement in targeted email marketing.
Additionally, planned and reactive internal marketing activities including working with internal communications teams to identify and author internal newsroom pieces, raising awareness amongst marketing and communications colleagues of the strategic objectives and tactical activities set out in the global business plans for energy, water and resources, and identifying opportunities to achieve these objectives through collaborative planning and delivery of marketing and communications activity. The postholder will assist in the coordination of global programmes and initiatives, maintaining regular communications with a network of business and portfolio leaders and experts who will act as the post’s primary internal client group. They will also identify new opportunities to raise the profile of the business and its activities across its key markets and audiences.

Is this role right for you?
We are looking for people who:
- Have existing marketing experience, preferably with some knowledge of Energy, Water or Resources
- Have experience/ knowledge of the tactical delivery of marketing plans, including content creation and digital marketing
- Have strong writing skills and good knowledge of English grammar and usage (although English as a first language is not required)
- Personable and collaborative working style with good listening skills and a commitment to positive stakeholder management
- Willingness to take on new challenges and an enthusiasm to learn from and share with others
