Joining Arup

At Arup we’re dedicated to shaping a better world. Our purpose, shared values and collaborative approach have set us apart for over 75 years. We solve the world's most complex problems and deliver what seems impossible, with curiosity and creativity. We’re a thriving and growing organisation which offers you many possibilities to shape a better world, and your future

In an increasingly competitive marketplace, our Marketing, Communications, and Business Development (MCBD) team enables Arup to build and protect our reputation, deepen client relationships, win quality work, and attract top talent. This role will be key in achieving our strategic market and client ambitions. We are seeking to hire a Global Internal Communications Coordinator to strengthen our MCBD function.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented and passionate Global Internal Communications Specialist to join our high-performing global communications team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our internal storytelling—creating engaging, strategic content that connects colleagues across regions and supports our business objectives. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of our global communication channels, maintain the communications grid, and collaborate with senior leaders and teams worldwide to deliver impactful campaigns and events. From writing and editing multimedia content to advising on best practices and staying ahead of digital trends, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we communicate internally. This is a dynamic opportunity to work across cultures, influence global messaging, and grow your skills in a supportive, creative environment.

Is the role right for you?

If you’re a natural storyteller with a flair for content creation and a strategic mindset, this role could be your next big step. You’ll thrive here if you enjoy translating complex ideas into compelling narratives, managing multiple stakeholders, and working across digital platforms. You’ll need to be highly organised, collaborative, and confident in your ability to advise others on communication best practices. A passion for innovation, a sense of willingness to learn, and a commitment to excellence will help you succeed in this fast-paced, global role. If you’re looking for a culture that values creativity and supports your professional growth, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to create and deliver strategic communications across multiple channels, translating complex ideas into engaging stories tailored to diverse audiences

  • Strong understanding of channel strategy, research and evaluation standards, and stakeholder management—including experience working with senior leaders

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with versatility across tones, formats, and digital platforms

  • Creative and confident in producing multimedia content, with proficiency in Microsoft collaboration tools, SEO principles, and basic design software; video editing skills are a plus

  • Awareness of how internal and external messaging intersect, with the ability to spot opportunities for amplification

  • Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining consistency and accuracy

  • Collaborative and curious, with a growth mindset, a professional approach, and a passion for learning and innovation

  • Comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback, and contributing positively to a generous, creative team culture
