As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will undertake geotechnical investigation and analysis for a range of projects, including but not limited to preparing desktop studies, investigation scope, geotechnical interpretation, design calculations, drawings, specifications and reports under limited supervision.

The Opportunity 
•    Logistical planning, management and delivery of geotechnical field investigations, including the development of health and safety management plans and their implementation on site.
•    You will be responsible for the development and management of small to medium sized projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints.  
•    Responsible for work packages that are allocated to you as part of larger projects, proposals and/or other packages in line with the development of the Geotechnics team.
•    Executing responsibilities as outlined in Arup’s Quality Management System, including checking the quality and accuracy of own and others work.
•    Supporting the development, morale and motivation of more junior staff, by providing guidance, training and feedback.

Is this role right for you? 

•    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in geotechnical design and construction
•    Previous experience working in the mining and resourcing sector would be beneficial, including but not limited to large scale earthworks and mass haul diagrams.
•    Sound working knowledge of the Western Australia’s geotechnical environment.
•    Geotechnical design experience across a range of medium to large scale infrastructure projects and / or buildings projects.
•    Experience in planning, managing, supervising and interpreting geotechnical investigations.
