The Opportunity

The Senior Facilities Manager – Geography Lead will report to Head of Workplace & Facilities Management. This is a 6 months fixed term contract opportunity.

You’ll be in regular contact with all staff at all levels based at the office and therefore, need the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, as well as maintaining objective, professional links to Contractors to ensure the smooth running of the office, maintenance of the working environment and ‘fabric’ of the building.

This role will be responsible for the operational delivery of FM Services across the West Geography comprising offices in Cardiff, Bristol and Winchester.

As the Facilities Manager, your key responsibilities revolve around ensuring optimal functionality and safety within our office spaces.

You'll utilize Building Management Systems to maintain a secure and comfortable environment while overseeing all facility services to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Your role involves managing the day-to-day operations and finances of hard service contracts, including contractor oversight and negotiation to ensure legal compliance. You'll also lead maintenance efforts and provide logistical support for office reorganisations.

You will play a pivotal role in project management, strategic planning, and resource forecasting to drive continuous improvement. Your ability to develop and motivate teams, cultivate positive relationships, and effectively manage budgets will be crucial to success in this role.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

  • Have a Business Specific qualification such as IWFM Diploma or experience within the field of expertise.
  • Are members of IWFM
  • Have sound knowledge of contractor service provision, SLA’s, KPI’s, landlord/tenant relationships/responsibilities.
  • Can demonstrate experience of co-ordinating and managing building maintenance and good awareness of fit-out, churn and H&S issues.
  • Have Compliance/knowledge of current legislation and Health & Safety, Legionella
