With over 200 fire safety engineers, we have the expertise to tackle the unique challenges posed by various structures. Our team not only leverages Arup's global experience but also specializes in country-specific codes and planning standards for fire safety. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a group of highly skilled engineers with diverse backgrounds in the fire industry. Your responsibilities may include providing code consultancy, strategic advice, fire safety design, construction supervision, inspection and risk assessment, as well as post-fire recovery support. The Opportunity

  • Provide detailed technical input on all types of fire engineering projects and related areas.
  • Assist in the preparation of fee proposals for all fire engineering projects.
  • Strategically advising key stakeholder on Fire engineering best practices and outcomes.
  • Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of quality systems within the Malaysia office.
  • May be responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback.

Is this role right for you?

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire Engineering within a consulting business environment.
  • Able to propose a reasonable, justified holistic fire engineering design.
  • Able to suggest possible solutions for technical problems based on fundamental principles.
  • Developing skills in CFD and/or evacuation modelling and other relevant calculation methodologies.
  • Be fully aware of all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety.
