The role will involve interactive and joint working with our fire engineers and with colleagues throughout the multidisciplinary teams at Arup. The role will include developing and reviewing fire strategies, to work with our fire safety system specialists to integrate fire safety systems and fire strategy needs into detailed design information and inspect, witness or test the installations on site.

The role gives the opportunity to travel to our 12 UK offices or further afield as projects require. The projects will be diverse, exciting and range from conceptual fire strategy development to handing over landmark projects in the built environment.

You’ll be expected to:

  • implement and investigate appropriate legislation and design guidance for use on your projects
  • understand the total fire concept: from the client brief through to construction and operation

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.

You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve
